UL Certified
Healthcare Television with Pillow Speaker
Most
recently, A.R.O. I.T. Solutions has incorporated technology into the
healthcare industry by offering installation of Flat Screen Televisions
with Pillow Speakers to enable patients and/or residents of nursing
homes, hospitals and rehabilitation centers to comfortably watch and hear
television without bothering their room mate. The Pillow Speaker also
allows patients that are hard of hearing to enjoy their favorite
television shows without missing a single word spoken.
UL
approved Hospital Grade displays can be an indispensable care instrument
as they lend themselves as a familiar and comfortable way to help pass time
that otherwise can seem eternal. Patients can enjoy the digital quality
of HDTV programming—plus standard off-air content including digital
on-demand movies, music, internet, TV programming and games. Alleviate
and enlighten with informative content describing the quality of care
your facility will provide. LCD displays can fit into your vision in
establishing exceptional patient experience.

What Does it Mean to be a UL Certified Healthcare Television?
Electronic products sold in the U.S. are first tested by an accredited
laboratory, such as the Underwriters Laboratory (UL), to ensure vitally
important safety and performance standards are being met before a unit
can be sold to consumers.
The
majority of television and audio equipment is designed to meet UL6500.
However, certain applications including "Use in a Healthcare
Facilities," must meet additional guidelines to be UL Certified as a
hospital-grade television. Hospital-grade televisions are also tested to
meet more demanding requirements on electrical current leakage,
prevention of spilled liquids entering the units and electrical wiring -
all to ensure the safety of your residents. Source: DirectSupply
